Czech Technical University in Prague

Current research activities and specific skills:
The Real-time Systems Group at the Czech Technical University in Prague has been involved in the development of several real-time communication protocol stacks (Train Communication Network, open source implementation of Real-Time Publish-Subscribe, Profibus Master and CAN/CANopen). The group has theoretical results in deadline constrained off-line scheduling on reconfigurable FPGAs and formal verification of real-time applications by timed automata. The group has experience in design of control applications while using rapid prototyping tools (Matlab/Simulink), real-time communication protocols and operating systems.
Specific contributions and role in the project:
The group will contribute to the project on developing communication protocols and scheduling algorithms for FPGA including their formal models and the case studies, as well as providing expertise in control and optimization.
Suitability and commitment to the assigned tasks:
The group has about 14 staff: 1 professor, 3 lecturers, 2 post-doctoral research fellows, 8 full-time PhD students. The group has participated in several successful IST projects oriented towards real-time systems.
